This page was created in memory of my son, Fletcher Jerome Windham Jr. "BOOMER". Boomer was born on August 12, 1982 at 7:47am. He was a healthy baby boy, weighing in at 8lbs 12 oz. He was one of five children. Two older sisters, and younger twin brothers. Boomer was a very creative child at a very young age. At the age of seven he began to play the piano, keyboards, or just about any instrument he picked up. He was very good. He could hear a tune and pick it up immediately. Growing up Boomer enjoyed playing with his brothers and sisters. He took up Tai Kwon Do, and excelled. He earned numerous martial art belts. In his teens he got interested in Hip Hop, and began to Rythme. Later forming a group with several of his cousins and twin brothers. The Tragedy Henchman. They finally recorded an album right before he was killed. January 29, 2008 was just another day. I had been running errands all day, I wanted to get home and wind down. i got online and decided to do a few puzzles. At approximately 10:45pm I received a call from my sister- in law, asking had I spoke with one of my daughters. I had no idea what she was talking about. i hadn't heard from her all day. Hearing the tone in her voice, I said no, what's wrong? That's when she told me a niece called her, and said my son Boomer had just been murdered. At that very moment my heart leaped from my chest, my legs turned to jello beneath me, and my mind began racing. I couldn't believe what I just heard, so I hung up the phone, and called my daughter. We played and agonizing game of phone tag for 15 minutes. That felt like a life time, everything was going in slow motion. Suddenly every phone in the house rang at the one time. I have a very large family, so everyone was trying to reach me at the same time. At 11:10pm on January 29, 2008 Rafael Feliciano called the Lorain 911 dispatch and confessed that he had just murdered my son. . . his friend. Boomer was brutally murdered by his close friend of 4 months, Rafael Feliciano. He was stabbed 21 times in the neck, arms, and chest areas. Feliciano called 911 and said " my neighbor tried to kill me, I needed to kill him". When Lorain Police arrived Feliciano opened the door drenched in Boomer's blood. He was taken into custody by the Lorain Police Dept. ~~~~~~~THE FACTS:~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ *Let the record reflect that Feliciano is 22 yrs old, 5"6' 135lbs, and had no defensive wounds or marks on his body, only Boomers blood from head to toe. *Boomer is 25, 6"3' and 145lbs, and had numerous defensive wounds on his body. *Boomer was three belts away from being a black belt in Tai kwon do. * Boomer recently had an operation on his left arm, and did not have the use of three of those fingers. I have so many question. How could he have tried to kill anyone? How could this have been self defense when Feliciano wasn't harmed? Why would he do this to someone he considered a good friend? Feliciano came from Puerto Rico, and had no friends. Boomer became his friend and helped him in any way he could. He even taught him to speak a little bit of English. Feliciano alledged that Boomer had three accomplises outside the door, but that isn't the case. The people Feliciano heard outside the door, knew Boomer, and heard a tussle. They heard Boomer saying " help, he's killing me ". They were concerned and trying to help Boomer out of that apartment. Feliciano told them "oh he's just playing, he's okay". All the while he was viciously killing my son. The Lorain County Coroner said, Boomer bled out so quickly that he could not determine the precise time of death.
